Devoted to delivering an exceptional ice cream experience, ‘Sorbetes ni Manong Jelle’ started in July 2020 by a Belgian-Filipino couple who loves to travel and eat across the globe on the hunt for flavour, inspiration, and adventure!
One hot summer afternoon, the couple wanted to cool themselves as well as have a family bonding activity with their son. The man of the house decided that they should make homemade ice cream. The lovely wife then suggested to use pinoy ingredients as she misses her hometown, Manila. After a few hours of fun, play, and waiting, they took out the tub from the freezer tried the ice cream - it was awesome.
Jelle, a Pastry Chef by profession, dreamt about being a boss of his own, saw the golden opportunity. Together with his wife Kamille, a nurse from Manila, they decided to start a microcreamery at their humble abode in Sint Niklaas.
‘Sorbetes ni Manong Jelle” ice creams are all made from scratch (with love) and are crafted with only the highest quality ingredients perfected by nature. We strictly use all organic fresh milk, cream, cane sugar, and no artificial ingredients - giving you the finest and cleanest flavors.
